Set in the beautiful coastal village of Portknockie The Victoria Hotel aims to give every guest a warm Scottish welcome and a relaxing stay. We have a range of over 150 malts, many of them local.
We are a 5 minute walk to the much photographed Bow Fiddle Rock. There are many coastal walks and an abundance of distilleries, golf courses, castles and fishing.
We are dog friendly in some of our rooms and bar. Extra beds upon request.

The village of Portknockie overlooks it’s traditional harbour, beaches and rocky coves from the cliff tops above.
Within the harbour area a natural swimming pool has been created. Whilst the harbour is no longer a ‘working’ fishing port, it is busy with the comings and goings of pleasure craft and private boats.
We have seven bedrooms in total at the hotel. Six double bedrooms and one twin room.

This hotel has just reopened with new owners. They are going above and beyond to make it the hub of the community in the few weeks since they opened. They are warm and friendly and make everyone very welcome.

I stayed four days in October. Location is perfect as base for photography (e.g. getting down to Bow Fiddle Rock for dawn is an easy 10 minute walk). As others have said, new owners Lorraine & David are making a huge effort and I think we all wish them well. For example, they are not able to do evening meals at the moment, but in addition to recommending local restaurants, they also provide plates, cutlery and paper hand wiper things (sorry, don’t know the proper word) so that you can bring in takeaway from the excellent fish & chip shop opposite, or the Chinese around the corner – and eat in the comfortable lounge bar. Hope to be able to get back in late Spring.

This is an amazing little hotel in Portknockie. Super-friendly owner who went out of his way to share the warm Scottish hospitality with us. Cosy rooms, with nice views and centrally located. It was possible to walk to Bow Fiddle Rock and Portknockie harbour with ease.

Very comfortable clean and friendly hotel set in a beautiful village. Thank for making us feel so welcome. Everything was perfect. I think the hotel has recently changed hands and the bathroom and room decor looked new. We really enjoyed the surrounding area and hope to be able to return one day.

My wife and I were staying in a holiday cottage in the village and visited twice for a drink. The landlady told us she’d only taken over just a week or so earlier and wasn’t doing food at present, a disappointment. When we visited, people were only in the bar, the lounge was empty. The pints of Belhaven Best were fine and the locals friendly

We really enjoyed our recent overnight stay. The room was immaculate with lovely sea views. A great night’s sleep in a very comfortable bed. The owners could not do enough for us. There was a good choice at beakfast which was also very good. I would not hesitate to recommend this family run hotel.
